It is one of the oldest horse show associations in the U.S. The MHSA has approximately 100 recognized shows and 850 members. Points are kept during the show season for a variety of divisions. An annual Awards Luncheon is held at the end of each show season to award trophies, prizes and ribbons to division winners. Equitation finals are held during the season in four divisions: Adult/Amateur, Junior on Horses, Junior on Ponies and the Gittings Final, (for juniors). A Yearling Futurity is offered each year for colts/geldings, fillies and ponies. The MHSA show season runs from December 1st to October 31st, with November being an off month. The MHSA newsletter is published 11 times a year in the In Gate Magazine, and includes point standings, the MHSA show calendar, and other information for our members. Every MHSA household will receive each issue of In Gate Magazine as a benefit of membership. Members will receive the In Gate magazine only while their membership is current. »read more |
